# Lappy v0.3.4 — custom route recording and long-route repair

- Fix the route-validation watchdog reset observed during the 26 October road test. Project/index geometry once, preserve corners when trimming, cache validation and selected timing maps, and restrict running matching to the existing admitted progress window.
- Support courses up to 50 km and 8,192 geometry points. Reference traces remain bounded at 8,192 samples, histories at 32 entries and custom revision slots at eight.
- Allow P2P timed attempts up to four hours; circuit timeout stays 30 minutes. Fresh GPS remains required for marking, with no vehicle-speed restriction.
- Wait for usable GPS before Start. Pause/recover after GPS quality, clock, freshness or link interruptions rather than permanently poisoning the recording. Bridge only spatially small/short gaps; larger missing sections require returning to the last good point.
- Show the reason for rejected marks and STOP. STOP keeps an unfinished recording available. A successful P2P Finish freezes geometry, queues the completed draft for saving and opens review immediately.
- Replace alternate-point decimation with bounded corner-preserving simplification. Track recon lifecycle/diagnostic events explain accepted/rejected marks, pauses and completion.
- Keep existing course identities, LPT layout, factory templates, PBs, raw telemetry, Street/Drag policy, touch/display and shutdown behavior. Old firmware may reject newly saved larger/longer P2P files.

See [implementation](IMPLEMENTATION_v0.3.4.md) and [hardware validation scope](HARDWARE_BENCH_v0.3.4.md). Physical road/GPS retesting remains required; synthetic checks are not physical timing certification.
