# Lappy v0.7.1 — remembered export Wi-Fi

The export network now has a fixed device-specific name and a random eight-digit numeric password, saved together on first use. Join it once using the credentials displayed by Lappy; the same name/password survives Wi-Fi stop/start and reboot. A phone may reconnect automatically depending on its network settings. Rejoin once after updating from v0.7.0+hw1, whose credentials changed on every enable. A settings/flash erase that removes this credential record will require a new connection.

Open **Settings → Diagnostics → SESSIONS → START WI-FI** after recording ends. Join the displayed network, keep the connection when the phone reports no internet, then open **http://192.168.4.1** and choose **Save VBO**. Stop Wi-Fi before starting another recording.

Both circuit and P2P sessions are supported. The catalog contains full session archives recorded from v0.7.0 onward; older Guanlan Run course/PB/history remains saved but is not automatically converted into an exportable session. Older raw `.lpr` recordings are retained and are not automatically imported. Valid receiver position and GPS UTC are required for VBO.

The patch adds an isolated `lappy_export` NVS namespace and does not migrate or erase existing preferences. The identity is exposed only after a successful commit. Read errors or an invalid saved record abort Wi-Fi startup rather than silently replacing the remembered network. The archive request token remains temporary.

Timing engines, telemetry decoding, course/PB/reference codecs, storage observer, export formats, page layout, board/display behavior and v0.7.0+hw1 memory corrections are unchanged. No DLAP, phone USB transfer, cloud service, or network update endpoint is added.

Validation and installation scope are recorded in the [hardware report](HARDWARE_BENCH_v0.7.1.md).
